Our Programs
The principle of human oneness is the common thread running through all of COMIT's work. Our research areas are where that principle meets particular questions: how societies develop and prosper, how human beings understand their identities and relationships, and how new technologies are transforming knowledge itself. Each area brings together a range of activities (speaker series, workshops, publications, and projects) around a guiding question. These areas are living rather than fixed; they grow, converge, and take new shape as our inquiry develops.
Public Conversations
Through speaker series and book talks, COMIT brings leading scholars, practitioners, and public intellectuals into conversation around the questions at the heart of our research program. Each conversation opens a line of inquiry to wider audiences, building the relationships and shared language through which deeper collaboration becomes possible.

Workshops and Symposia
COMIT convenes scholars and practitioners in small, intensive gatherings oriented around specific questions. These settings (workshops, seminars, and multi-day symposia) are where the research program develops most deeply: candid exchange, shared purpose, and the quality of sustained attention that larger public events rarely allow.

Publishing
Pivot Press is COMIT's publishing imprint, created to give the insights that emerge from our research and dialogue durable form. Each volume grows out of sustained collaborative inquiry, bringing scholars, practitioners, and engaged communities into dialogue. All publications are freely available as open-access PDFs, with carefully designed print editions for those who want them.
